Brakes

New brakecylinders, master cylinder, pipes and hoses. Brakes are important!

Please tell me you did not use copper brake lines. They do not hold double flares and brake very fast at the flare. They are also illegal and very very unsafe. Steel brake lines HAVE to be used. I am an ASE Certified Master Tech which means I am certified in all possible areas and have been doing this for 30 years. I could be saving you life and I am not trying to be dramatic. Copper WILL fail catastrophically. If it is copper, I realize it was lots of work. Steel will be even harder to double flare. It needs to be done. Please check into what I said to feel confident that I am right. I was writing you to ask where you got your brake parts for my 1956 220S, but this turned out way more important. I hope the pictures look like copper and they are really steel and I can sleep tonight. Please call me and let me know about the brake lines so I can sleep and also where you got your parts.

Hello Billy

Thank you for your commment. In Norway copper is legal to use, and it is common in all authorised workshops.The brake lines comes from Würth.

But I will continue to check around with other spesialist. Hope you can sleep well again. I will.
